			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;m an ER RN in a discussion with one of our RT over which acronym represents the Pulse Oximetry reading.   I was taught that SpO2 is an indirect
measurement of the SaO2, the arterial saturation which must be measured directly through an ABG.  However, the RTs position is that the SaO2 is the pulse
oximetry reading, because the SpO2 stands for pressurized oxygen saturation which he states can only be obtained by an ABG.  Because of this I am being
